Riccardo Tisci, under his appointment at Burberry as Creative Director in 2018, called upon a selection of photographers to interpret his new look for the heritage brand. SHOWstudio's Nick Knight was chosen to capture Tisci's debut collection, named Kingdom.
Directed by Nick Knight, this fashion film is a continuation of the campaign, looking to the aesthetic of the 'lady'; who she is; how she dresses herself; the art she collects. Set in an elegant apartment in Barcelona, furnished with Jenny Saville artworks, the film personifies the essence of the Burberry woman.
Filmed by Knight’s long time collaborator Britt Lloyd and edited by SHOWstudio’s Head of Fashion Film, Raquel Couceiro, this film captures the signature Burberry tropes - the Nova check, beige tones and mackintosh trench coats – as well as the newer aspects such as graphic designer Peter Saville’s logo rebrand.
